NBA 2K25 Slider by Eccentric

NBA 2K25 Slider by Eccentric

When it comes to that NBA 2K25 Sliders, it’s still early days as 2K’s gameplay can change a lot with patches in the first month or two. However, OS users Eccentric flesh has a set that I’m currently using.

Sliders always come down to personal preference, and 2K is one of those games that can feel completely different depending on the type of player. But for me, Eccentric’s sliders hit all the right notes at the moment. It does require a little more legwork with its sliders, but the things it asks you to do have become commonplace for me in 2K games. I’ll leave it to him to explain below, but I realize there’s a little more to it than just downloading sliders.

NBA 2K5 sliders and settings

If you want star players to force a little less shots and instead involve their team more while getting more sensible defensive rotations instead of leaving elite shooters completely open over and over again, it only takes a few adjustments to the settings at the start of each game to get there to get there!

When a game starts, just pause and walk away Game Plan > Defense Settings. Click on R1/RB to scroll through each player.

  • For each star player, set the Hedging and Hedging (Middle) settings to Hard Hedging. This causes the tailback to swing out to cover the lane and be able to contest a jump shot. Think of this as a “soft transition” where the rear defender returns to cover the screen as soon as the ball defender fights over/under the screen.
  • For each Elite 3-point shooter, set Stay Connected to Always. This ensures that the game doesn’t send help to that shooter to leave him wide open. I’m trying to limit the Stay Tethered – Always setting to two players on the field at once so the game still has plenty of utility options to choose from, but feel free to experiment if you’d like.
  • For every average/poor 3-point shooter, set “Stay Connected” to “Never.” This forces the game to send these defenders to help first, ensuring that elite shooters remain well covered and poor shooters are the only long passing options.

Optional adjustments to ratings/trends

In MyNBA, go to Menu > Front Office > Roster, enable Quick Edit (press Home/Pause button), go to Trending View (Y/Triangle), then bulk edit (click to highlight A on Xbox or X on PS5). and edit the entire column) of the list to add +10 to the following tendencies:

– Strong attack on Drive (labeled T/Finish)
-Dish to Open Man (labeled T/Dish)
-Take Charge (labeled T/TakeC)
-Foul (labeled T/Foul)

Scroll right about two-thirds of the way down the scroll bar to find T/Finish and T/Dish. T/TakeC and T/Foul are almost at the bottom of the list if you scroll all the way to the right.

After reinforcing these tendencies, you should see a more aggressive and deliberate offense from the CPU, as well as significantly more foul calls and tackle attempts.

I also wanted to make the dribbling a little more explosive (mainly to compensate for the high Body Up Sensitivity slider) while also making the overall gameplay a little more hectic and dynamic, with tip passes, loose balls, turnovers and quick break opportunities. To do this, I simply gave everyone a +1 for a few badges. To do this, simply follow the same steps as above for editing trends, except this time you have to press and hold Y/Triangle until you get to the badge view. From there, re-enable bulk editing and move the right stick up once (or down once and then up once if you don’t want to increase the badge level for those who already have the badge but want to be sure Each player has at least Bronze) for each of these badges:

-Glove (more on-ball steals)
-Interceptor (more tipped/stolen passes)
-Lightning Launch (faster starts when dribbling)
-Pick Dodger (optional; makes defenders better at fighting through screens)

At the start of each new year in MyNBA, you will need to reapply these badge changes to apply to the new rookies. To do this, go through the bulk editing process again, but this time make sure to move the right stick down once and then up. This will keep all existing players at the same badge level as before, while ensuring that all newcomers are at least Bronze level for each of these four badges.
