Cowgirls open ITA Regional Play on Thursday

LARAMIE, Wyo. (October 15, 2024) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team travels to Las Cruces, New Mexico this weekend to compete in the ITA Mountain Regional Championships beginning Thursday, October 17th and running through Tuesday, the 22nd^nd. New Mexico State is hosting the regional tournament this year.

A total of 19 teams will compete in the regional championship, including eight Mountain West teams. Both region individual finalists qualify for the NCAA Individual Championship. Meanwhile, the regional doubles champion will qualify for the doubles championship.

Thursday begins with the first two rounds of singles play, the Round of 64 and the Round of 32. The first round of the consolation game will also be played. The first round of doubles will also be played on Thursday. NMSU will stream the games throughout the weekend via the link HERE.
