Netflix reveals first look and release date for Lindsay Lohan’s next film

Lindsay Lohan continues her series of holiday films for Netflix with her new film Our little secret. Per Tudum from Netflix, the The Christmas film is scheduled to be released on the platform on November 27th. The new film stars Lohan as Avery, who, instead of having a fun, celebratory vacation trip, ends up spending it with her ex-boyfriend Logan. played by Ian Harding from Pretty Little Liars.

“This movie is about a girl who goes out with someone and visits her family for the holidays,” Lohan said. “Then she meets her ex, who is dating her boyfriend’s sister. And all sorts of things break loose,Lohan said of the film written by Hailey DeDominicis and directed by Stephen Herek (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure).

Lohan and Harding are described as the centerpiece of the film. “Logan remembers a lot of what makes Avery special and loves it very much.” Harding said of his character, which includes Avery’s deep love of “snacks and coffee and inability to realize that she will most likely freeze in temperatures below 70 degrees.”

Kristin Chenoweth plays Erica Morgan, the matriarch of holiday madness. “We have a lot of surprise topics coming up related to the six-level separation in the family that are fun,” Chenoweth told Tudum.

Our little secret This isn’t the first time Lohan has made a Christmas movie with Netflix. She starred in 2022 Falling in love with Christmas and 2024 Irish wish. Lohan said, like her roles in the previous films, her character in Our little secret is “a girl who goes on a journey of love,” but there is a difference.

“I think the biggest difference with Avery is that I had to do some comedic scenes here – I’ve never had to go into that in depth before,” Lohan said.

Reunited with a Mean Girls Actor

The film also features a reunion of Lohan and Tim Meadows, who played Principal Duvall in 2004 Mean Girls alongside Lohan’s Cady Heron. Meadows plays a family friend named Stan Our little secret “It was really nice to see her again,” Meadows said. “The surprise for me – if anything – was how we both enjoyed each other’s company. And she asked me to take a photo together first!Meadows said.

“Tim is such a wonderful person” Lohan said, calling the moment of working on the film “coming full circle.” She added: “We had a few moments where I couldn’t stop laughing.”

Lohan was busy too Crazy Friday (2003) Consequence Freaker Friday, Starring Jamie Lee Curtis. The pair will reprise their roles as Anna and Tess Coleman in the sequel, which hits theaters on August 8, 2025.

The official synopsis of the Disney film reads: “A sequel to the popular 2003 film with a generation-spanning twist. The film picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan)’s identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a future stepdaughter, as they navigate the countless challenges that arise from the merger of two families, Tess and Anna discover that Lightning could actually strike twice.”
