Live Your Best Life Sensory Run & Walk aims for inclusion in Iowa

Live Your Best Life Sensory Run & Walk organizers Alex Musel and Jolene Sorenson joined Iowa’s News Now this morning to tell us all about the inclusive event designed for runners, walkers and assistive device users.

The race begins and ends Saturday, October 19th at Terry Trueblood Shelter 2, 579 McCollister Blvd. The aim is to make participation fun and accessible by setting up sensory stations along the route.

There will also be a post-party at the nearby Terry Trueblood Lodge. Proceeds from the 5K support ongoing projects to support people with disabilities and mental health issues. Systems Unlimited, a nonprofit organization with over 50 years of service in Eastern Iowa, works to eliminate barriers to independence for individuals.
