OnePlus 13 will be slightly more expensive than OnePlus 12, a new leak reveals

A new leak has revealed that the price of the upcoming OnePlus 13 will increase compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 12. According to a well-known Chinese tipster on social media, the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version of the OnePlus 13 is priced between CNY 5200 and CNY 5299. For comparison, the same version of the OnePlus 12 was priced at CNY 4799, which makes the OnePlus 13 about 400- 500 CNY more expensive.

This information comes as OnePlus prepares to launch its next flagship smartphone and raises questions about whether the increased price is justified. The tipster points to the possibility of an “official smokescreen” and suggests that OnePlus could be inflating early price leaks to meet expectations. This tactic has been used by brands in the past, where they would first advertise higher prices and then lower them to gain favor with consumers.

Key features of the OnePlus 13

The OnePlus 13 will feature significant improvements over the OnePlus 12. One of the most talked about features of the OnePlus 13 is its processor. It is rumored to be one of the first smartphones to launch with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is expected to be officially unveiled during Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit on October 22nd. Previously called Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is set to bring significant improvements in performance and power efficiency thanks to its new Oryon cores.

This new chip is designed to make the OnePlus 13 faster, smoother, and more power efficient, which is perfect for users who rely on their phone for heavy multitasking, gaming, and other high-performance tasks. OnePlus could even beat its competitors like Xiaomi and Oppo by being the first to launch a phone equipped with this chipset.

OnePlus is known for pushing the boundaries of battery life and charging speed, and the OnePlus 13 is likely to continue that trend. According to rumors, the device will come with a huge 6,000mAh battery – a big improvement over the 5,400mAh battery in OnePlus’ previous model. For users who are constantly on the move, this could result in longer usage times.

In terms of charging, the OnePlus 13 is expected to support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging to ensure your phone boots quickly and efficiently. Whether you use a wired or wireless charger, you won’t have to wait long before you can use your device again.
