intensifying autumn air, frosty mornings possible during the week

intensifying autumn air, frosty mornings possible during the week

TUESDAY: An intensifying shot of cool air will move in along a back door – wind will be rousing throughout the day and the chance of a passing shower is slim. Otherwise, expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs, again in the 60s. Low relative humidity and gusty winds could increase the fire danger during the afternoon hours. Behind the sweeping front, low temperatures will fall into the upper 30s and lower 40s under mostly clear skies – creating a risk for patchy frost.

WEDNESDAY: A cool and for some frosty start to the middle of the week; Expect sunshine to help matters as temperatures rise from 30 to 40 degrees in the afternoon to the low 60s in the morning. As you start your Thursday morning, expect another round of frosty air with lows in the 30s to near 40 degrees.

ADVANCED FORECAST: After a frosty start on Thursday, more sunshine will be accompanied by a gradual warming to seasonal averages in the latter parts of the week. Highs will rebound into the mid-70s through the weekend; next week mid to upper 70s. Rain chances remain low for most of the next 7-10 days.
