Trump skips Q&A at Pennsylvania town hall and instead plays music videos

Former President Donald Trump crashed a town hall in Oaks, Pennsylvania, on Monday after two attendees reportedly fainted.

Trump hosted the event alongside South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (who made headlines in April for executing her puppy and writing about it) and answered a handful of questions from supporters before halting the event because attendees needed medical attention . At one point, Trump joked, “I personally enjoy this.” We’re losing weight, you know. No, you lose weight. We could do this – lose four or five pounds.” He added: “Anyone else want to faint? Please raise your hand.”

The Republican presidential candidate soon walked out of the town hall entirely, telling the crowd: “Let’s not ask any more questions. Let’s just listen to music. Who the hell wants to hear questions?”

As the impromptu musical episode unfolded onstage, Trump swayed slightly and Noem led the audience in a “YMCA” sing-a-long. Videos played included Elvis performing “An American Trilogy,” Sinead O’Connor performing “Nothing Compares 2 U” (her estate requested that he stop playing their music at rallies), “November Rain” by Guns N’ Rose and Barbra Streisand’s “Memory.” Notably, both Axl Rose and Streisand have clearly expressed their disdain for the former president.

In an attempt to make the situation anything but bizarre, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung announced on X: “Something very special is happening in Pennsylvania at the Trump town hall. @realDonaldTrump is unlike any politician in history, and that’s great.”

With 22 days until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris also found herself in embattled state Monday night as she vowed to the crowd gathered in Erie to sign a recovery bill Roe v. Wadelower costs for middle-class families and provide an expanded child tax credit.

During her speech, Harris also called Trump “increasingly unstable and unhinged.” She continued: “He’s looking for uncontrolled power, that’s what he’s looking for. He wants to send the military after American citizens.”
