Salesforce CEO criticizes VP Harris for lack of TIME for interviews

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff on Sunday criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for not being invited to an interview with Time magazine since she became the Democratic presidential candidate this summer.

Benioff, who also owns Time, objected to Harris’ repeated rejection of the magazine’s requests for an interview about her policy positions and plans for the country if she wins the presidency in November.

“Despite multiple requests, TIME was not granted an interview with Kamala Harris — unlike any other presidential candidate,” Benioff wrote in a post on X. “We believe in transparency and publish every interview in its entirety. Why not the Vice President.” interact with the public on an equal level? #TrustMatters #TransparencyMatters #Leadership”

In a follow-up post, Benioff published an excerpt from a story that ran in Time magazine about the nature of President Harris, in which he noted: “Harris has declined repeated requests for an interview for this story. In contrast, Trump spoke to him about his political vision.” A TIME reporter spoke to TIME for a similar length of 90 minutes in two interviews before dropping out of the race.
