Michigan State football is staying close to home in the latest bowl predictions from CBS Sports.

CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm released his updated bowl predictions on Sunday, and Michigan State was once again in the mix. Palm ensures the Spartans end up in the Detroit Bowl and face Eastern Michigan in the Mid-American Conference. This was the same prediction Palm had for the Spartans last week.

The Spartans are now 3-3 overall and 1-2 in Big Ten play. Michigan State had a bye last week but is in the midst of a three-game losing streak.

Michigan State returns to the field this week in a home game against Iowa. Kickoff between the Spartans and Hawkeyes is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC.
