Download the app to get huge discount on KK parking

MOTORISTS with excellent parking options can look forward to discounts from October 16 to 31 as part of an initiative by Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK).

Under the Jom Bayar Kompaun program, motorists will only have to pay for parking and not the fine, said Kota Kinabalu mayor Datuk Seri Dr. Sabin Samitah.

“The offer is only open to users who have downloaded the Sabah Smart Parking app,” he said in a statement.

The month-long program comes in conjunction with DBKK’s launch of the Sabah Smart Parking app as the city transitions to a digital parking metering system.

Sabin said payment can be made through the app and DBKK counters, where users must provide proof of downloading the app.

“However, the discount does not apply to users who make online payments via dbkk.eservice,” Sabin added.

He urged city residents to use the program and download the app.

The mayor said the town hall and its subsidiary DBKK Holdings Sdn Bhd would open counters to make it easier for motorists to check and make connections.

“After the end of this program, DBKK will take action against motorists who have not paid their rental agreements, especially those with high arrears.”

“We will not accept a call to reduce connections,” Sabin warned.
