Redmi A3 Pro? The mysterious Redmi phone will go on sale in PH on October 15th

It looks like this Xiaomi is about to launch a new Redmi phone in the Philippines and it’s probably not what anyone is expecting. A listing on the company’s official global store on Shopee suggests a new device will launch on October 15, and the rumor mill is abuzz.

While the Redmi Note 14 serieswhich debuted in China last month seems unlikely, another contender has emerged from the shadows – the Redmi A3 Pro. This smartphone recently made a surprise appearance in a Kenyan online shopcomplete with some rather questionable product photos that scream, “Take this with a grain of salt.”

However, the listed specifications appear to be legitimate. Interestingly, the store has the model listed under 13,999 KSh, which is about P6,200 or $110. Further fueling the speculation is that clearer images of the Redmi A3 Pro have surfaced on X, formerly Twitter – this time from a different retailer.

Supposedly Redmi A3 Pro

So what can we expect from this potential budget beast? The Redmi A3 Pro appears to have a huge 6.88-inch 90Hz display with a waterdrop notch, which makes it a surprisingly large screen device if you look at the specs.

Rumored to have a 12nm MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra 4G chipset under the hood – the same silicon that powers the recently launched chipset Redmi 14C – which is a significant improvement over the Helio G36 in the regular model Redmi A3. Xiaomi is also reportedly adding 4GB of physical RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.

As for the camera, the device features a 50-megapixel AI main camera, although details about the secondary shooter remain murky. Completing the package is a powerful 5,160mAh battery, which is likely to support USB-C charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader for convenient unlocking.

Of course, we’ll have to wait for official confirmation from Xiaomi, but recent developments suggest that the Redmi A3 Pro is making a splash in the Philippines. If the price is right, this could be a serious contender for anyone looking for a big-screen phone at a great price. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date of this mysterious phone approaches.
