Film fans are being urged to watch a masterful film starring Jim Carrey that viewers say they should “see at least once before they die.”

When it comes to failed relationships and breakups, we’ve all been there, and it’s fair to say that most of us don’t want our most painful memories to surface while watching a movie or TV show.

However, every now and then there is a film so well made that it’s worth watching through tears, like this 2004 romantic film starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.

Written by Charlie Kaufman and Michel Gondry, Eternal sunshine of a flawless mind proves that opposing genres like romance and science fiction can actually come together to create a meaningful piece of cinema.

The film begins with Joel Barish (Carrey) discovering that his ex-girlfriend Clementine Kruczynski (Winslet) has opted for surgery that will permanently remove him from her memory.

Joel is hurt by her decision and decides to have the exact same procedure done. However, things prove a little more complicated when he realizes the impact of erasing an entire two-year relationship from his brain. Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo and Elijah Wood also star in the film.
