BYU fans look forward to hosting FOX Big Noon Kickoff

PROVO, Utah – The BYU campus will be abuzz Friday as FOX Sports prepares to host its Big Noon Kickoff before Saturday’s game against the Arizona Wildcats.

“This doesn’t happen often at BYU and it’s great to see BYU doing so well,” Joseph Shelley said. “The energy from Edwards Stadium is the best ever. I think this year it was definitely louder than previous years and it was just exciting to be a part of.”

“This is huge for us,” said Jon McBride, BYU’s associate athletic director for communications. “We haven’t had a national show this big on campus since 2009.”

It’s a chance to show college football fans what makes BYU special, he said.

“Our fan experience and marketing crew has put together a show that is surpassed by very few in the country,” McBride said. “We hear from the opposing fan bases coming in and our own fan bases, whether it’s knife dancers on the field or Cosmo doing a crazy stunt or the music or the volume of the fans at third .”

Fans would line up as early as 6 a.m. to attend the party, he said.

“We are excited to introduce Lavell Edwards Stadium, as well as BYU and Provo, to the world.”

Big Noon Kickoff can be seen Saturday at 8 p.m. on FOX 13.
