Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka Just a day after a lower back injury forced her to forfeit a match at the China Open, she hit back on social media at a fan who called her a “fluke.”

Osaka, who returned to the sport this year after an 18-month break during which she gave birth to her daughter Shai, posted a tirade on Instagram calling out the internet troll and reminding her of her decorated resume.

“I just saw someone call me a fluke. How is it possible to be a coincidence at 4?” Grand Slams, Light the Olympic torch, beat multiple top 20 opponents and be near the top 50 the year after?”

She continued, “FOH, you couldn’t even touch one of my accomplishments with your fingernail.”

In the post shared to her Instagram Stories, Osaka added: “Did I jelly????”

Osaka, 26, won her first career Grand Slam in 2018 when she defeated Serena Williams US Open, He only lost one set during the entire tournament. She would win again in New York in 2020 and win two more major titles at the Australian Open in 2019 and 2021.

But Osaka’s return this year was not without problems.

She picked up her first win with new coach Patrick Mouratoglou at the China Open last week, but had to withdraw from her round of 16 match on Tuesday against Coco Gauff because of a lower back injury.
