Donna Kelce says raising Travis and Jason was the “most daunting task” she’s ever faced

Donna Kelceor as her sons and her fans affectionately call her, Mama Kelce, has raised her children to be two of the biggest names in football. But raising her was not an easy task.

As she revealed in a new interview with Shinethe mother of Travis And Jason Kelce took on her biggest role – even bigger than her upcoming Hallmark roles – as the former Eagles center (36) and the Chiefs tight end (34).

Only when they “started”.[ed] She believed that the boys, who had been involved in all sorts of sports as children, “could have something like a career ahead of them.” But also raise them without the pressure of expecting that they would one day be household names is “a huge task”.

“It’s so much easier to just go to work,” she told the publication, reflecting on her previous career as a commercial banker, where she worked “really, really hard” and served as the “main breadwinner” for her family.

“…But raising children when they are completely dependent on you and you’re trying to do the best you can with the limited resources you have is the most daunting task I’ve ever had to do,” she said.

Now she can enjoy watching her eldest son become a parent himself, which is so much “fun” for her.

“It’s just very heartwarming to know that they have what it takes to be very caring, very kind, very gentle – especially towards girls,” she said, referring to Jason’s three daughters: Wyatt4, Elliotte3, and Bennett19 months.
