Fever GM says WNBA free agents have expressed a desire to play with Caitlin Clark

Anyone who has seen Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark play can understand why people want to play on her team.

Not only is she a generational passing talent who has an exceptional instinct for passing the ball to her teammates in tight spaces and recognizing passing lanes and angles before anyone else, but the attention she attracts due to her sharpshooting skills, also relieves other Fever players.

Although Clark and the Fever have had a successful 2024 season, they will almost certainly need to add some more firepower to the roster to become true contenders for the WNBA Championship. And the quickest way to do that would be to add players via free agency.

Luckily for fans, the ball already seems to be rolling in this regard.

Fever GM Lin Dunn appeared on an episode of 107.5 The Fan’s radio show “The Wake Up Call w/KB & Andy” on Wednesday. At one point, she made it clear that Indiana is already becoming a free agency destination this offseason.

“Absolutely,” Dunn said when asked if there are any free agents who want to play with Caitlin Clark. “We are already hearing initial discussions with some of them [agents of] free agents, rentals [us] know that their player might be available for a trade or that he might be available in free agency.

“And that they would like to play with Clark,” Dunn concluded.

While Dunn didn’t name any specific players, a common name has cropped up among Fever fans: current Dallas Wings guard Satou Sabally, who seems to be a perfect fit alongside Clark and superstar forward Aliyah Boston.

What is certain is that this offseason appears to be an exciting one for Fever fans to follow.
