Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 will be receiving a major graphics update on PC, bringing significantly better graphics to the already great third-person shooter.

After massive sales that led to new story DLC plans, Saber Interactive is already working on providing quality updates for the new sci-fi title. However, in the near future, PC players will already receive an almost remaster-worthy feature for free.

Space Marine 2 4K textures

In a new community update for September, Saber Interactive announced that 4K textures will be added to the PC version of Space Marine 2. While the game is already massive, those who still have enough power can push their hardware to the absolute limit.

To ensure that users of lower-end hardware do not suffer from the update, the new textures will be available as a separate download. On Steam and the Epic Games Store, the new textures will be added as free DLC for those who want additional visuals.

While Space Marine 2 looks great on all platforms, the game has lower quality textures in some places. NPC Space Marines and Cadian Guardsmen may have worse textures than important characters like Titus, but the game doesn’t look bad at all.

Nonetheless, it can look better and Saber Interactive wants to make its artists’ work sing for those with the hardware to run it. What’s much better, however, is that the additional texture quality represents an additional download to the already extensive game.

Also performance improvements

In addition to the new graphics options, Space Marine 2 is also implementing some much-needed performance and stability improvements in the game’s next update.

The next hotfix for the game is primarily aimed at “fixing crashes and improving stability” and hopefully providing a more consistent gaming experience for all fans.
