HVMHC hosts open house at new Wabasha Clinic location

WABASHA, Minn. (KTTC) – Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center (HVMHC) will host an open house for its new clinic location in Wabasha, Minnesota, to celebrate the move.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd from 4 to 6 p.m. Refreshments and light snacks as well as relaxed tours of the new premises will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.

The Wabasha HVMHC clinic is still located in the Middle School building on Broadway Ave.; However, the new clinic is now located directly on Milligan St.

The move, which took place over the summer, “increased the number of private offices from 4 to 8 and created larger space for community-based programs, including a larger group meeting room,” said Erik Sievers, executive director of HVMHC. “This improved space has given us the opportunity to increase staffing in key areas and provide greater privacy for those receiving care in-person in the clinic or via telemedicine.”

Sievers says HVMHC recognizes the need for expanded services in the Wabasha area and strives to adapt as necessary to meet the changing needs of the community.

The new clinic is 3,300 square feet, almost twice as large as the former clinic space in Wabasha.
