New leaks about GTA 6 are causing a stir after Rockstar issued a copyright strike

A series of new GTA 6 leaks just got a little more interesting after Rockstar’s parent company apparently issued a copyright strike against a YouTuber who reported on it.

Back in September, insider “LegacyKillaHD” published several leaks about GTA VI on X, in which he revealed several things he had supposedly heard about the game’s development.

The leaks included mission types, how Fast and Furious inspired some of the heists, the game’s story, and how its length compares to Red Dead Redemption 2.

However, when YouTuber Cyber Boi made a video about these leaks, he was hit with a copyright strike by Take-Two Interactive.

According to the YouTuber, he didn’t use any leaked footage, just clips from GTA 5 while discussing LegacyKilla’s information.

Cyber Boi is convinced that the leaks were real and claims that other YouTubers also removed their content for discussing the leaked details.

He also addressed the strike on Reddit, noting: “Earlier this year, Take-Two outsourced its content ID system to a third-party company. They don’t bother claiming leaked footage anymore. However, in the last 24 hours, they have repeatedly published tweets about leaks (more precisely, images, even if they were generated by AI). They also laid claim to gameplay.”

“Today I had conversations with five other YouTubers who had the same thing happen to them. It looks like they are cracking down on leaked information,” he added.

The YouTuber believes the copyright strike won’t last, but raises some serious questions about the LegacyKilla leaks.

Of course, until Rockstar reveals news about GTA 6, you should take all of this with a grain of salt. Fans are eagerly waiting for the company to reveal more of the game in the form of screenshots or a second trailer, but there’s no word yet on when that will be.

However, new job postings from Rockstar are giving fans hope that the wait won’t be long, especially since the game is still scheduled to release in fall 2025.
