About Chiesa: “It’s a shame for him. I don’t expect him to be out for a very long time. We’ll see if he can be in the team on Saturday.”

He said having “a lot of good players there when needed” helps him find a solution for injured players.

On top of the Premier League table: “I see things that we need to improve if we want to stay where we are. Every game in the Premier League is difficult and we have to do things better. But one of the reasons why we can stay. “We have a lot of quality up there.”

He said “we cannot accept mediocrity” and therefore criticized the final minutes of the game against Wolves because they had to show “the highest standards every day”.

About the opponent Bologna: “We know how difficult it is to play against a team that has a strong man. We don’t underestimate them at all because this is not what they deserved after how they finished last season.”

He hopes that on Wednesday at Anfield the players and fans will “show Europe that they have missed us” and “this combination will hopefully lead to a special evening for everyone involved”.
