Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and A16 4G prices leaked

Just a few hours ago, a leak gave us a glimpse of all the colors of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A16 in both 4G and 5G versions, and now a new leak sheds light on one of the most important aspects of these phones: their prices.

According to a European retailer’s internal database, the Galaxy A16 4G will cost 209.90 euros, while the Galaxy A16 5G will cost 239.90 euros. Both prices are for 128GB of storage, but it’s unclear how much RAM they get as this database apparently doesn’t store that information.

If these are the base models – and the price leads us to believe that they are – then it wouldn’t be surprising to see them with 4GB of RAM, an amount that has already been rumored for the A16 series. That’s far too little RAM for an Android device in 2024, so we recommend you opt for at least 6GB, even though that may cost significantly more than the amounts mentioned above. The 8GB version, which is the top model, paired with 256GB of storage, would then cost even more, but it’s still unclear exactly how much.

As is usual with price leaks, note that these prices don’t convert very well directly into other currencies. Even within the EU, there are several VAT rates that can slightly influence pricing.

The Galaxy A16 5G is powered by either the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC (in India and Thailand) or the Samsung Exynos 1330 (everywhere else, apparently). It features a 6.7-inch 1080 x 2340 pixel LCD touchscreen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nit peak brightness, a 5,000mAh battery and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

One of the most important “features” will undoubtedly be the software support, which includes six major Android updates and six years of security patches, which is hard to beat in this price range. On the other hand, not much is known about the 4G version of the A16, but it could be identical except for the chipset, as was the case with the A15 and A15 5G.
