This year’s entry in the popular football management simulation series represents a major overhaul and will be available on PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox and Game Pass Tuesday, November 26th.

The mobile version of Football manager 25 will also release on the same day as a Netflix exclusive.

Football manager is making numerous changes for this year, including the inclusion of women’s football and a partnership with the Premier League.

The latest entry also marks a switch to the Unity engine as well as a new user interface and improved graphics.

“FM25 is just the starting point for the next 20, 30 years of the studio,” said Miles Jacobson, studio head of Sports Interactive. “It is also the point where the world can see two of our multi-year projects come to fruition: the move to Unity Engine and the launch of women’s football.

“It’s a real sense of achievement for us to share our hard work with you, and we’re really looking forward to showing you more of the game in the weeks leading up to the game’s release.”

In the coming weeks, Sports Interactive will detail the changes to the interface, tactics and gameplay experience, as well as provide a deep dive into the addition of women’s football.

Due to the rework, some features from previous years didn’t make it, including touchline calls and the Create a Club and Versus modes.

International Management will also not be playable (except in the mobile version), but Sports Interactive promises it will return in a “much more feature-rich way” for release next year as part of the base game.

“We have dealt very intensively with international management FM and realized that what we wanted to deliver would not meet our original quality threshold,” Jacobson said in a blog earlier this month.

“Only 5.6% of all FM24 PC saves have used this mode, which we think reinforces our view that we need to get much, much better use of the experience. On console, that number is even lower.”

Football manager 25 will be released on November 26th on PC, Mac, PS5 and Xbox.
