How and when to pre-download Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

How and when to pre-download Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

If you purchase the Ultimate Edition of Vessel of Hatred, you will receive a themed War Cat mount for your Spiritborn.

If you’re a wanderer ready to become a Spiritborn, you might want to pick up the Vessel of Hatred expansion for Diablo 4 as soon as possible.

Before you can unleash your inner demon slayer, you’ll want to make sure your game is primed and ready for release on October 8th, when Nahantu begins calling to you.

Here’s how and when to pre-download the Diablo 4 expansion so you can jump straight into the jungle when Vessel of Hatred launches.

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred pre-download date

Every minute counts as you face off against all the other Spiritborn – and their deadly builds.

Each platform and launcher has different dates and times before downloading. Here’s a quick overview of when the Vessel of Hatred pre-download will be available to you:

  • Battle.net: Be one step ahead of the game September 30th at 4:00 pm PDT. You can secure the pre-download a full week early. Just fire up your Battle.net launcher and click away. If you’re reading this, you can pre-download it now.
  • Consoles (Xbox and PlayStation): Mark October 5 at 4:00 pm PDT when your console can join the pre-download party.
  • Steam users: Sorry, friends. You have to wait until the big launch October 7th at 4:00 pm PDT Unless you switch to Battle.net, which I think Blizzard wants you to do.

You can pre-download the Vessel of Hatred patch whether you actually purchased the expansion or not. That’s because the update also brings some changes to the base game, including Season 6 and all its changes. You can still prepare to experience all the glorious chaos, even if you’re not sure you want to get lost in Nahantu.

As you sharpen the blades, load the quivers and prepare for the chaos to come, don’t forget to check out all the Paragon board and difficulty changes coming to Diablo 4 this October.
