ESPN NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. revealed that Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter is at the top of his list for the 2025 NFL Draft.

“He’s been No. 1 on my big board all season and he’s not going anywhere,” Kiper wrote. “The hand-eye coordination, ball skills and speed are all outstanding. And the way he thinks about the game never fails to capture my attention. This is a guy who has played the entire game practically every week, but he’s still so caught up in it. “He’s out there counting how many players are on the field on punt plays.

“Simply put, Hunter does things we rarely, if ever, see in college football; he has six touchdown catches and two interceptions,” he added.

The 21-year-old has once again excelled on both sides of the ball this season, as his 46 catches in five games are the most of any Big 12 player. Hunter has also recorded 561 yards and six touchdowns, an average of 112.2 yards per game.

He also made an impact as a cornerback, recording 16 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

The heavy workload didn’t bother Hunter, as he only missed a total of two offensive and defensive shots throughout Colorado’s season-opening win over North Dakota State.

If he can maintain his individual performance while helping the Buffaloes continue to improve after their 4-1 start to the year, the buzz around him as a potential top draft choice should continue to grow.
