On Tuesday night, vice presidential candidates from both major parties, JD Vance and Tim Walz, will face off in what could be the final debate of the election season.

At this point, no further debates between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are confirmed, making Tuesday’s vice presidential debate the last major phase for each party will take place before the November election. As early voting gains momentum next week, both campaigns will look to make their candidates’ performance a motivator for voters to cast their ballots.

Democratic Gov. Tim Walz and Republican Sen. JD Vance will face off early next week. They attacked each other during campaign stops, but Will this tone be an advantage in a personal conversation? As both camps prepare, CBS News, which will moderate the debate, reported that Democrats have voted Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to step in as Senator Vance during preparation Minnesota representative Tom Emmer takes over the role of Governor Walz on the GOP side.

In recent days, as millions of people grapple with the effects of catastrophic storms, neither candidate has posted much about the debate, which can be interpreted as outlandish since nature knows no party.

When will the debate take place?

The debate is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1st at 9:00 p.m. ET. CBS and the campaigns agreed to broadcast it from New York City.

Who moderates the debate?

Traditionally, the vice president debate focuses more on foreign policy, and CBS’ chosen moderators believe those topics are likely to be discussed. O’Donnell currently anchors the CBS Evening News and is managing editor, while Brennan anchors Face the nation and works as a foreign correspondent for the network.
