The Chucky creator has the most reaction to the cancellation of his horror TV show and it sounds like we haven't seen the last of the killer doll yet

After Syfy’s was active for three seasons Chucky The spin-off show has been canceled but creator Don Mancini doesn’t seem too worried about it as he has the perfect reaction to the axe.

“He’ll be back,” Mancini said on Twitter after publishing an article about the show’s cancellation. Mancini is the original creator of the entire Chucky franchise, which began with the 1989 film Child’s Play and has since spanned seven films and a Child’s Play remake in 2019.

However, the long-time star of the franchise and actress of the Chucky TV series Jennifer Tilly reacted much longer. The star also wrote on Twitter: “So sad to announce that the Chucky television series has finally been canceled after three wonderful seasons,” Tilly said. However, much like Mancini, the star seems to believe this isn’t the end of the killer doll: “Resurrections are Chucky’s specialty and he has a lot of them!” see the full tweet below.

Mancini created the spin-off series in 2021 as an official eighth installment in the franchise and a sequel to his seventh film Cult of Chucky. The series brought back franchise regulars Brad Dourif as Chucky, Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise and Billy Boyd, as well as new cast members, and follows the evil doll as he commits a series of mysterious murders in New Jersey.

The series is extremely popular, gaining cult status in recent years and achieving an impressive score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. But despite the positive reactions from fans, Syfy has decided to stop the horror show. There’s no real reason to cancel the series, but as we know, the Good Guy Doll will never go away for long. In fact, the Chucky creator has already announced a new film.
