Packers vs. Vikings live updates: NFL scores, game stats, news, highlights, where to watch the week 4 game

We’re on the road from Lambeau Field battling for first place in the NFC North between the 3-0 Minnesota Vikings and the 2-1 Green Bay Packers.

The Vikings are on one after consecutive wins against the 2023 NFC champion San Francisco 49ers (23-17 in Week 2) and the 2023 AFC South champion Houston Texans (34-7 in Week 3). Soaring. Quarterback Sam Darnold had the best game of his career against Houston, throwing a total of four touchdown passes and no interceptions in the win. He will be tested early and often on the road against a Packers defense that leads the NFL with nine takeaways, including seven interceptions, through the first three weeks of the season. New defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley has the Packers playing much more aggressive football than his predecessor Joe Barry: The Packers had seven interceptions in all of 2023, a total they have already achieved, and last season only 18 takeaways, a number from Green Bay already halfway there.

Minnesota also boasts the NFL’s best pass rush under defensive coordinator Brian Flores: They lead the NFL with 16 sacks and 54 quarterback pressures in Week 4. That will be a tall order for Jordan Love, the face-of-the-franchise quarterback or backup Malik Willis, who he will face on Sunday. Love’s return from his MCL sprain is in doubt after he took limited part in training all week. When he can’t go, Willis has played admirably in his absence: His 9.8 yards per pass attempt and 9.5 yards per carry both lead the NFL since Week 2 among players who have at least 12 attempts for each category. Willis is just the fourth player in the last 50 years to lead the league in both categories in a two-week span, joining Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in 2022, Titans quarterback Steve McNair in 1997 and Eagles quarterback Randall Cunningham in Year 1987.

Who will emerge victorious in this battle for the early pole position in the NFC North? Stay tuned to this live blog for important updates and analysis.
