Florida State and Clemson have had interesting starts to the season, to say the least. Since the Seminoles started 0-3, there was a lot of heat in Tallahassee, not the weather!

Dabo Swinney also had to cope with a terrible defeat against Georgia in the opening game. Whether it was Florida State vs. Clemson or Clemson vs. whoever, Swinney insisted on avoiding outside noise.

“No, I’m not interested in that stuff at all,” Swinney began. “People say what they want to say. I don’t care. It doesn’t matter. I don’t read any of it. I don’t listen to it. I don’t let any of this get into my head. I just focus on doing my job every day. I’m not trying to prove anything to anyone, man, I’m just trying to love these guys here, man, I’m just trying to do my job and do the best for Clemson day in and day out, kill these guys I’m in the best position to win and not worry about it. People say what they want.

“I don’t need validation from anyone. I know who I am. I know where I have been, where I come from and where I am going. So none of this affects me or bothers me at all. People say whatever. This is the world we have right now.”
